The University of New Mexico has
an active program in dark matter research and is a member of the DRIFT
collaboration. In addition, we are involved in generic R&D
for dark matter experiments. The UNM group is comprised of 2
graduate students, 1 Postdoc and 3 Professors. We are currently
seeking to fill a postdoctoral position on the DRIFT dark matter
experiment. DRIFT is the only working experiment aimed at
detecting the directionality signature expected from the WIMPS
predicted to form dark matter. Candidates must have (or be near
completion of) a Ph.D. in experimental physics, with demonstrated
skills in hardware and data analysis. Experience with gaseous
detectors is particularly relevant. Applicants should submit
(electronically preferred) a letter of interest, CV, and a list of 3
