Medium Energy Physics
The Medium Energy Physics Group at the University of New Mexico is active in many areas of research including the physics of the strange quark, proton spin, and high energy-density physics. The group's current involvements include:
- PHENIX - As members of the PHENIX collaboration, built part of the muon tracking detectors and helped to develop the tracking software, we are currently involved in the upgrade forward vertex tracker (fVTX), and are working on several data analysis projects associated mostly with the Spin Physics Working Group.
