Graduate Student Scholarships

We wish to announce that up to 3 Nuclear/Particle/Particle Astrophysics Scholarships/year are available to graduate students in the INCOMING CLASS. These scholarships are in ADDITION to the Teaching Assistantship (TA) offered by the university. EACH scholarship is worth $2000/year (for up to 2 years) to the student PLUS the GUARANTEE of a summer Research Assistantship (RA) following their first academic year at UNM. The summer RA is CONTINGENT on the student achieving a B+ or better GPA on their courses. The second years' $2000 is CONTINGENT on the student achieving a B+ or better GPA on their courses AND good progress toward completion of pre-research coursework. The summer RA would be valued at $4000 and involves research in one of the Nuclear/Particle/Particle Astrophysics programs in the department.
